Apropos to the festival’s namesake and event date, 420 on the Block, will include a cannabis-related activism and education platform that features a free 420 Bazaar sponsored by World Cannabis Week, where attendees can participate in carnival-based challenges offering $5,000 worth of prizes.
420 on the Block is a 21+ only event. Top sponsor, The Green Solution, a premiere Colorado cannabis company is currently offering tickets in-store with no services fees. Tickets can also be purchased online with prices ranging around $175 for VIP, $59 for GA, and $25 for Single Day Passes.
For those looking to take a break from the compound and venture around, the Fox Street Compound is very close to one of Denver’s hottest new areas, RiNo (River North) Arts District. Check out the Denver Central Market, which houses everything from a brick oven pizza joint to one of Denver’s best ice cream shops (think: a mini version of NYC’s Chelsea Market in the gorgeous Mile High City) or check out one of the local breweries like Infinite Monkey Theorem, Great Divide, or Ratio Beerworks.
If you’re from out of town and need a place to crash, AirB&B is always a good idea. There are also some very cool boutique hotels located closer to downtown (The Crawford Hotel in Union Station is a wonderful option as it is located on top of the train station that goes to the airport – talk about convenience!)
As for transportation to the festival, 420 on the Block encourages attendees to use Lyft (their official rideshare partner), bike, or take public transit as there is no designated parking lot for festival goers. There is street parking, however, so take your own vehicle at your own risk. As for public transportation Denver’s RTD Bus Route 8: North Broadway /Huron & Route 38: West 38th Avenue have stops near the festival grounds.
