Get Down
Jay-Z, Matt & Kim, Jennifer Lopez. Rent, Hamilton, The Book of Mormon.
These, among many others, were born (or crafted) in New York City. Bursting with sounds and experiences, it’s hard not to get inspired walking down the street. If you’re heading to New York City for a Broadway show, music festival, baseball game, or other obscure event, you can look forward to iconic venues, hole-in-the-wall bars, and everything in between. And that’s just Manhattan.
Dine Up
It feels like every month a new and trendy NYC restaurant goes viral. From edible cookie dough and famous pizza to Michelin starred fast casual, if it’s in New York, it’s damn tasty.
Hit up scenic rooftops and climb below to late night dives. By the time you emerge from the deep, secret spaces of New York City, you’ll be ready for a bagel and coffee to perk you back up.
If fine dining is more your scene, head to one of New York City’s 77 Michelin starred restaurants. Scattered throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn, you can be wined, dined, and put to bed.
When you are ready for shuteye, rejoice at the number of low, medium, high, and ultra-high-priced hotels that are available. Some of our favorites include the Courtyard Marriott in SoHo or Downtown and the Ace Hotel New York. For those with an upgraded budget, may we suggest The William NYC, a 6-minute walk from Grand Central Terminal?
Go There
One of the best things about New York City is its accessibility. In one day, you can arrive, spend time in Central Park, head downtown to the World Trade Center Memorial, and hit up Brooklyn for a night out. New York’s MTA and ferry system spans all five boroughs, making transportation cheap and easy; all you gotta do is read the signs.
Feel free to carb up and wear comfy shoes; with all the walking you’re going to be doing, you’ll need sustenance and Dr. Scholl's.
Something Out of the Ordinary
While New York City is well-known for its Broadway shows, lavish nightlight, and penthouses, there is much more to discover. Get out of Time Square this trip and visit Chelsea, SoHo, the East Village, Williamsburg, and Astoria. These diverse and unique neighborhoods offer something that Midtown can’t.
So book a hotel and place ticket, grab a slice of Joe’s Pizza, get lost downtown and enjoy all New York has to offer. We’ll see you in the big apple.

You’ll save money, allowing you to bring back that “I Love NYC” shirt for your mom. How thoughtful.
