Hollywood. Beverly Hills. Pasadena. The Los Angeles metro is more diverse than entire states in the US. And with the sunny weather, accessible beaches, and mountains just beyond the city, you’ve got a lot to work with.
Whether you’re heading to LA for an event, shopping, or to hang with friends, you’ve got plenty of entertainment awaiting.
Jam Out
While the Staples Center brings in major artists for 10-night stints, there are countless other venues that boast underground and emerging artists. The El Ray and The Satellite host small, indie acts while the Hollywood Bowl hosts live orchestras and symphony’s (perfect for a relaxing, outside Sunday). Or simply walk down Melrose and hop into any dive bar, odds are there will be music playing.
Hoot & Holler
Now that Los Angeles is home to the Clippers, Lakers, Rams, Chargers, Dodgers, and Angels, (and that’s just the “big” sports) you can attend a sporting event almost any day of the week. And you’ll need to, as these teams are as entertaining as the Kardashians.
Eat Good Food
It’s time to get crunchy. Here is southern California, everybody’s got a dietary restriction. Rather than fight it, celebrate it with “superfoods.” Crowd favorites include Superfood Café, Doomie’s Home Cookin’, and Sage Vegan Bistro.
If you need a hangover lunch, LA’s got that too. Head to old school Pinky’s Hot Dogs or new-and-trendy Elbows Mac & Cheese.
Stay
There are a lot of places to stay in LA. If you’re attending an event at The Staples Center, we recommend downtown or Hollywood. If you want beach access, stay near Santa Monica, or head further south to Huntington Beach (you can head to Disney too). And if you want to spend some serious cash, there’s no better place than Beverly Hills.
