America’s pastime finds a special home in Los Angeles, so grab your mit and ballcap – we’re headed to Dodgers Stadium!
Since her first opening day in 1962, Dodger Stadium has been home to 8 World Series and 4 World Series Championships. Wedged into the hillside of the Chavez Ravine, you’ll enjoy checking out a panoramic view of downtown LA and the San Gabriel Mountains while eating peanuts and crackerjacks.
Dodger Stadium seats 56,000 dedicated fans. Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Will Ferrell and the Kardashians all count themselves as Dodger fans, so keep your eyes peeled for celebrities in the stands!
Pro-Tip: Parking in this area can be hectic on a game day. Take the blue or red line on the LA Metro. There’s a stop just a few blocks away in Echo Park.

There’s one powerhouse venue in downtown Los Angeles that houses all the Los Angeles basketball and hockey teams—Staples Center
Right in the heart of the bustling DTLA, you’ll find the giant Staples Center. The Center is host to high production-value concerts and award shows (like the Emmys) but is known locally for sporting events in Los Angeles. Staples can seat 21,000 fans of music or sports at any given time, with lots of room for VIP suites along the balcony.
The LA Kings is LA’s only professional NHL team. Kings games are great for families; children will be entertained by the endless stream of free “swag” given out and games played by the Kings “Ice Crew.”
Staples also hosts the NBA and WNBA teams that call LA home. The LA Lakers and Clippers both ball in this arena, drawing huge crowds and rivalries. Both teams have seen great success in recent years and the tickets are hot! Be sure to catch the LA Sparks (WNBA) while you’re in town, too!

While Los Angeles was lacking an NFL team for years, we now have two: The Rams and The Chargers. While they are playing in makeshift locations in 2017, plans are underway for construction of a new stadium in Inglewood that will draw many fans.
